Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners love the great value for money, especially with the three-course all-night happy hour priced at just £5.95. The potato skins and garlic mushrooms come highly praised for their generous portions and excellent taste. Guests appreciate the varied menu, which offers everything from classic pizzas to decadent desserts like sticky toffee pudding and tiramisu. The staff receives commendations for warm and friendly service that makes every visit feel special, particularly for families. Additionally, the restaurant’s wine list and drinks options elevate the dining experience, ensuring there's something for everyone.

Most Disliked

Some visitors are put off by the stairs leading to the restaurant, which can be a challenge for those with limited mobility, despite available accessibility features. Occasionally, the restaurant can get quite busy, especially on Saturday evenings, leading to longer wait times for meals. A few diners have mentioned that certain dishes, like the butterscotch sauce on desserts, might be too sweet for their taste. However, these minor inconveniences do not overshadow the overall experience at Primavera. A few patrons also desired more gluten-free options in the menu, noting the additional charges for them when available.

We love Primavera! Very well priced and great food. Ideal for couples, families and groups. They have an excellent range on the menu and the specials change regularly. We celebrated some birthdays last night and one the waitresses was so warm and kind to my nephew, who can be fussy with some food. We were so grateful so her time! We were so busy eating and chatting away I didn't manage to take many pictures, but I cam assure you the food is lovely and well portioned. A gem on Low Fell!

Visited on Saturday 5/7/25. Although busy the service was good, our drink request and meal choice taken quickly and no long wait for food. Of the food we had nothing but good to say about both courses. The pate I had was really smooth in texture and taste. I had fish selection for main and my wife a steak. Both excellent. We shall be returning.

Early evening visit. Good selection of meals on menu and a Specials Board - they also offer gluten free at a small extra cost. Our table had the potato skins - generous portion with garlic dip - my friend was hungry so polished the lot and said they were ‘delicious’. Another starter were some lovely button mushrooms in garlic and butter - again, a good portion. On to mains and the genius portions continued with the lasagne and our sea bass on a bed of real buttery mashed potatoes (none of that sloppy mash nonsense!) and fine green beans that were actually cooked and not just blanched. Dessert was sticky toffee and tiramisu- utterly delicious although my friend found her butterscotch sauce a little too sweet for her palate, but she ate it anyway! Staff were attentive and pleasant and drinks are served to the table. I noticed other diners were tucking into huge pizzas and it was evident that those potato skins are very popular! Pricing is very good IMO - lunchtime and evening special set menus around £15-£20. Most Á la Carte around the £15 - £20 mark. Desserts around a fiver. Drink prices were also good. Good seating and spacing between tables. Pleasant venue with a separate bar if you wanted a drink whilst waiting for fellow diners. Be aware that the restaurant is above a shop and so there are stairs to negotiate. They aren’t too steep, and there’s a good handrail. Happy to recommend and I’m not easily pleased at all 😄
